Torrevieja continues to improve its sports offering and the quality of its municipal services. The city has been awarded the Sports Quality Seal, a recognition that evaluates areas such as sports facilities, programmes, services and the promotion of physical activity.
Recognition of Sports Management
The Sports Quality Seal provides an external assessment of sports management. For municipalities, it evaluates aspects related to facilities and equipment, municipal programmes and the services available to users.
The certification also requires annual renewal, encouraging continuous evaluation and improvement of sports facilities, services and programmes.
Sport, Tourism and Quality of Life
Torrevieja has facilities for a wide range of sports and the capacity to host competitions, training camps, sports campuses and other sporting events.
This infrastructure allows sport to play an increasingly important role not only for local residents but also for visitors. The city’s facilities, calendar of events and opportunities to practise sport throughout much of the year contribute to strengthening Torrevieja’s position as a sports destination.
Another Reason to Live in Torrevieja
A city’s quality of life also depends on the services and infrastructure available to its residents. Investment in sports facilities, public spaces and activities provides more leisure opportunities and encourages an active lifestyle.
This new recognition therefore adds to Torrevieja’s appeal as a Mediterranean city in which to live, enjoy extended stays or purchase a second home.
The next step is to maintain these standards and continue improving the city’s sports facilities and services.
